Damn this totally ruined my day.
Here is some comedy from Tipper Gore in the 80's regarding the Beastie Boys to lighten the mood. My, my how times have changed.
And Paul's Boutique in full:
RIP MCA

Thanks for that Oprah clip. Classic stuff.
Saw the Beastie Boys back in 07. Great live show. Rest in peace Adam Yauch.

FUCK CANCER!
I can say I did see the Beastie Boys open for Madonna back in 1985. I was totally digging on Cookie Puss back then. And I won a pair of tickets to see the show from local college radio station WNUR. The audience was nauseating. And I was holding onto punk rock stupidity pretty strongly back then. The Madonna fans hated the Beastie Boys. And that just put gasoline on our fire. We were going crazy. Sorry I didn't stick around for the Madonna set. But, the Beasties were just plain fun.

I was driving home from work when I heard Body Movin, So What Cha Want and Sure Shot all in a row. I was like, man, finally this station get's it. Then the news came after and I was crushed. MCA just was plain awesome in every sense of the word. The world lost a true artist today.

Just before I went to bed really early yesterday morning, I was jamming on bass on some songs that me and a friend are learning. The one I worked on most was "Sabotage". At the moment I was playing through it, MCA was probably in critical condition. When I woke up to the news, I shivered when I thought of that.
I immediately put on Paul's Boutique and grooved. What a masterpiece of wit that album is. MCA was always my favorite Beastie too. Man...this really blows.

Not so much, just never rated them. I liked that drum machine solo record but honestly I would have to pull it out of my stack (red label def jam) just to know who he was. Jimmy Spicer, Jazzy Jay , The Hollis crew were all on that label, good times.
