I'm a n00b to the modding world, but I'm constantly surrounded by it from my brother and several of my good friends. I only have my lobes stretched at 10g.

I have a nose ring.

They're quite common where I'm from.
A month old baby is inserted into the anus where its left to rot, the whole time
you are fitted with a colostomi bag until the baby's skeletised.
When the procedures complete the bones have fused with your rectal walls and
with a small amount of effort you can pop the skull out of yer ass, peek a boo! lol.
It makes for a great party piece.

Just this week alone I got my septum punched at 0ga (which is approx 8mm). I have had my septum pierced for over 14 years and it was up to 2ga, however it needed correcting as I have what is referred to as a deviated septum and also had my knuckles tattooed

I will also be part of a suspension team performing in Sydney in October 2008

Pain is relative I guess and a tiny part of modification is that the anticipation is usually worse than the actual event as far as "pain" goes.

I had my PA done 13 years ago and on the few times I have taken it out, I have felt very odd with it :oops:

The only weird thing about it was "the first piss" after getting it pierced...I thought it was going to sting like hell, but it didn't...much to my happiness

The anticipation thing = weird , I remember I got a labrett and it was my 1st piercing and I was shook and had to have a few beers 1st but when I got it, I didnt feel a thing.

So with that as ammunition a month later I waltzed confidently in to the parlour agin and got my eyebrow pierced and that felt exactly what it looks like, a man thrusting a sharp piece of metal thru my eyebrow.
I felt the flesh tear and everything. :mrgreen:

Then I really needed a drink.
So yeah, its all relative.

Tattooing is a weird one. It's very difficult to explain to someone what it feels like. It does hurt of course, but it's easy enough to cope with. This all depends on where you get tattooed of course. Getting anything done on the ribs can fuck off

I'm 6 hours into a 1/2 sleeve on my right arm, only 1 hour to go. Well until I change my mind (again) about colours and whether to extend it.

Piercing I'm not bothered about really. Got my ear done, used to have my nose too, but let that heal over.

My lip has been pierced twice and I have the general ear-piercings. Actually I haven't worn any lip-jewelry in a while and the hole on the side has completely closed up. The middle-hole has closed up a little as well but with a little pressure I can still get the jewelry back in whenever I want to.

I have actually been planning on having something else done for quite a few years now, but my Dutchness has kept me from spending any money on it. Apparently they call it a hand web. I'm looking to get one inbetween my thumb and index finger.

I've dabbled with the idea of getting tattooed, but haven't been able to decide on what and where yet.

my right nostril is currently infected i think. its very painful anyways.
all my piercings have been fine.
The strangest one i have had done was my tongue, cause i didnt feel a thing and i looked in the mirror and there was a huge needle going through it. Wanted to take a picture but she wouldn't let me

Oh yeah I saw that on BBC news the other day... one in ten piercings get infected apparently?! I have never had any problems with my piercings and I've done half of them myself (which I don't recommend to anyone else of course unless they're a professional)

i am always thinking about getting more tattoos - but i am very non-committal and need to figure out exactly what i want and where. i'd love a sleeve but i think i am a little too old now, i don't have the balls anymore lol. have been clipping pictures from magazines for like the last 3 years i want japanese, but completely non-traditional; something like japanese but through the looking glass. a bit weird and twisted.

have had many piercings but only kept 4 [3? do your ears count as one piercing?] ears at 20mm, septum at 4mm and hood which i am in the process of stretching from 5mm to 6. i had both my temples pierced at one point and would love to get them done again.

I don't have many boby mods, although i do plan on getting quite a few, i can safely say that if you get your eyebrow pierced, put a curved bar in it. I had a straight bar in mine, and even after 6 months it rejected, and now i have a scar and a need for a job so i can get it redone properly.

My mate also has his foreskin pierced and stretched to 3mm, so he can clip lego men to his ring. I sold him a ghost and a star wars battle droid

Sorry for the long read, but I had to share!

I just got back from my first suspension "party". (Its 5:40 am) It was totally awesome. It was at this huge garage behind a tattoo parlor. It seemed a little sketch at first, but it was done by professionals. It didn't get started until 9pm and for anyone who knows anything about suspensions, there's a lot of waiting in between people. I didn't end up leaving until about 5am and even then, the last of my friends was getting the hooks out.

3 of my good friends went up. My friend Matt was up for an hour and listened to a lot of Fall of Troy. He was swingin around like an ape! He was a veteran at this sort of thing and was totally enjoying it. The second was Molly and it was her first time. She didn't stay up for very long, but she seemed glad that she went through it.

Then the best for last.

My friend Rachel who's really into this kinda thing was suspending for her second time. It was already getting super late, but we were all caffeined up and ready to go. We blasted a metal playlist that she had made and all of us were head banging and just having a great time. I think what made it the coolest was that she was swinging around with the lights off. It was really an awesome experience. I think the best moment was when the song "One Winged Angel" from the Advent Children soundtrack came on. Totally fucking epic!! \m/ The whole room was fuckin' rockin' and Rachel really seemed to be enjoying herself. There was just a lot of great energy in the room when she was up.

I'm not entirely sure if I would do a suspension myself, but I would definitely go and watch my friends do it again. It was totally an awesome experience. The next one we plan on doing it on this little beach at my college.
Though, if the church ever found out there were a bunch of crazy kids suspending from their lovely cross, I think some shit would go down. It'd be totally worth it. Its such a gorgeous place to it!

I'm not entirely sure. A lot of people see it as sort of a religious experience. Some also do it for the rush. When I first heard about it, I thought the same thing. "Why the fuck would you want to do that?!" After attending one of these things, I think I understand it a little more.

The rush of doing it and the anticipation, the euphoria after coming down was better than ANY drugs I've ever done, I was on cloud nine for hours afterwards both times.

The last time I did it though was in 2001 so it was quite a while now but I still remember all of the sensations like it was yesterday, my only regert was I should have done more hooks to support my lower back curving

I do not have any piercings or tattoos yet, but i plan on getting a sleeve with mixed motives from John Dyer Baizleys works. (the Baroness guy)

Dude, John Baizley's art is so incredible! It looks a lot like Pushead's work (the guy who does artwork for Misfits and Metallica), except Baizley does more than just skulls. He incorporates a lot of nature themes which is very fucking cool. If I had the money and the connections, I'd totally ask him to design a tattoo for me.
