Stone Gods - pretty good, if ya like big dumb heavy rock with stupid lyrics.
MGMT - the singles are still awesome, the album not so much. May grow on me. They are a bit Flaming Lips-y, so that is good

And got the new AC/DC album. Which is ok, about as good as anything they've done in the last 20 years. That wasn't meant particularly as a compliment.

Apart from that, can't think of anything to get at the moment, which is very unlike me.

I got My Arms Your Hearse by Opeth... Good album! I almost have all their cds, then my collection will be complete!!!

If you're a fan of chilled, down tempo stuff give them a listen. I wouldn't recommend such music generally, if you've heard one Buddha Bar compilation, you've heard em all, but these guys seems unique to me at least. Very progressive and trippy/jazz sort of sound.
Hard to get a hold of their stuff though.

And due to my impatience with the post and just being paid I went to HMV after work and got.

Helms Alee - Night Terror. I knew nothing of this band it was a totally blind buy, and so far it is excellent. Fuzzed up discordant melodic noise.

So weird what Happened there, I lived in Bethnall green in the early 90s and it was so different then, I went back recently and they had replace the local boozer with a gastro bar.
Not saying there wasn't a wicked scene there tho, bass Clef on thursdays with 'JOI' who
mixed asian with breaks and WhirlyGig in shoreditch town hall , Transglobal underground, loop guru, Natasha Atlas , Banco De Gaia. And plenty of illegal dos as there was a lot of unnocupied properties.

You need Come My Fanatics. Their heaviest album. Also Their self titled and We Live. Witchcult Today is also excellent. Just all around amazing band man.
