I'm glad that more rock/metal shows are popping up at the Grand Ballroom and the GAMH. Other than the Fillmore or an open floor arena, they are my favorite places to see bands.

This tour should be fun. Hope you all enjoy that show.

I should probably buy my tickets sometime soon. Good thing you have to have like 50 bands on a bill that have been featured on something MTV-related to sell out a show around here.

Baroness tore it up lastnight, new stuff is killer too, they played a few new tunes. They have a good lengthy set, most of The Red Album and even a tune from each First and Second. Had tons of various prints available too. Nothing for the new album, John said they're shooting for Oct. 13th for a possible release date.
And Clutch were Clutch, fly like a dragonfly, sting like a bee. They're selling the new album already at the gigs, played about 4 or 5 new ones in their set, they were flawless. Was a long drive but was completely worth it.

...Boston counts as one of these said standard markets right?

I know the red album's been around for some time now but I just recently got into em. Once some paypal issues of mine get sorted out I'll be ordering that double 180 gram vinyl LP from you guys at Relapse.

I am going to try and catch them in Portland. Unfortunately I am on vacation in Central Oregon when they are in PdX but I might drive back for the night. I am in Seattle on business this week and was hoping that they would be in town while I was up here, but that didn't work out... oh well.

I am really starting to hate the crowds here in seattle, i realize everyone was there to see clutch because they are the headliners but man i really hated the vibe everyone was giving during Baroness's performance. I didn't let it bother me because i rocked out like a complete maniac during their set but it sucks when people are just standing there with their thumbs up there asses looking befuddled as Baroness fucking kills it. Other than that it was a really terrific show, The first band Lionize was actually very cool, Baroness was awesome as usual and Clutch was absolutely golden.

I may or may not go, it depends on wether I can rack up some money soon enough and buy tickets
