So recently I've been studying and reading lyrics more than I usually tend to do, and I have come to the conclusion that Crack the Skye means alot to me.

When I was 10 my youngest cousin passed away from cancer and my whole world was rocked. He fought the cancer for 3 months and 14 days.

Watching the DVD and hearing Brann talking about his sister really sent chills down my spine and that song is to me so awesome in many many ways.
Everytime I now listen to it I get reminded to value all the moments you have with eachother.

Me and my cousin were close. We almost were neighbours and therefore met on a weekly basis. When he died I had problems moving on and skipped school a bit.

Since I bought CTS, its helped me deal with all of that immensely because I had a hard time finding someone to turn to. It sounds like a typical middle-school thing to say; that music helped me out of my depression, but its the truth. I NEVER get deeply depressed so CTS helping me through it all really meant a lot to me. I wrote a letter to Mastodon thanking them for writing such moving music and I got an autographed CTS poster and a folder with a bunch of gnarly stickers and stuff. I'll be framing the poster sometime very soon and hanging it in my music/jam room.

Mastodon is one of my all time favorite bands (with Led Zeppelin being number one). I've never been into a band who is so loyal to their fans.

People backed the fuck away from me because they thought that I was out of my mind. When in reality I was one with the music, and heavily digging it. I had not felt that since I saw Nirvana.
