After 4 times Mastodon it's about fuckin time I see a real headline show.

Shit, that would be a brutal lineup. High on Fire usually leaves my eardrums begging for mercy, so I can't imagine Mastodon piled on top of all that. And, Dethklok? Awesome!

Where in Canada are they playing so far?

For some reason I was under the impression that Dethlok was headlining. I don't get why anyone would care about them other than Gene Hoglan, but whatever.

Mastodon to co-headline with the life size version of Dethklok, the animated band from Adult Swim’s Metalocalypse along with friends Converge and High on Fire. The 40-city tour will begin October 2, and scorch the nation coast-to-coast. Tour dates are listed below. Ticket pre-sale begins Tuesday Aug 4, at 10:00AM. Why the fuck is a cartoon headlining over those bands? What the fuck has music come to? If you told a band thirty years ago they would be headlining with a cartoon they would have kicked your ass.

This is going to be an awesome show. I'm getting my tickets for 10/21. I love the Fillmore.

They may be a cartoon but it's still real people playing the music, and despite the stupid lyrics and stuff the music itself is actually pretty decent. Good guitar work and drumming and all that shit. Hell, the riff at the end of Thunderhorse is pretty cool.

Co-headlining? Anyone have any idea if Mastodon will play a full set?

Whether Mastdon play last or not If it is co-headline they should both get an hour & half.

I'm not a big Converge fan but I'd love too see them live and High on Fire again should be awsome compared to the outdoor setting in which I saw them last time.

Whatever you think of Dethklok, it is still art. Who hear would not like to create a Metal Cartoon and a fuckin' real band and tour with Mastodon. Enjoy Dethklok for what it is.

Both Adult Swim and Mastodon originate from Atlanta so it is a perfect match.

I will be at the Tabernacle show. The Tabernacle is a very awsome place and includes it's own giant pipe organ. And the venue is right around the corner from the Adult Swim offices, practically neighbors.

Okay, I might not be giving them a fair chance. It just seems weird that they would be headlining over Converge and High on Fire. Both bands have paid their dues and deserve a lot more respect.

No, when I heard that Mastadon was coming to my town at a very nice venue only larger acts would play and if it is true they are not closing and get to play as long as they want then I have no interest in going. Who the fuck is Dethcock anyways.
