As many of you know by now, Converge will be releasing their long-awaited new studio album, "Axe To Fall," on October 20th via Epitaph Records (with vinyl to be issued by Deathwish Inc.).

The effort was recorded by guitarist Kurt Ballou at this Godcity studios in Salem, MA and features guest appearances from a host of notables, including Steve Brodsky (Cave In), Adam McGrath (Cave In), J.R. Connors (Cave In, Doomriders), Uffe Cederlund (Disfear, ex-Entombed), John Pettibone (The Vows, Himsa), Steve Von Till (Neurosis), and Mookie Singerman (Genghis Tron).

Wow. Dark Horse sounds pretty tight. I like the vocals better than on some other Converge stuff. This is promising.

Good songs; listening to it right now trying to find one to really capture me.
Also, the 3 new videos up on convergecult.com are really electrifying; especially the one for "Bare my Teeth". I like the classic horror movies theme going on.
The Steve Von Till collaboration is as intense as i hoped as it would be.

In my top 5 albums for this year...incredible!
