Just saw what is potentially the last U.S. show from Burnt by the Sun and wow. It bums me out that more people don't realise how amazing these guys are. Tombs, Black Anvil, Bloodhorse? and another band opened.
BBTS totally crushed and if you get a chance to see them in the next 2 weeks when they cross the pond you should.
Dave Witte has been in my top 2 current drummers and tonight proved why.

Got my ticket. Should be pretty damn sweet!
The support in London is pretty awesome too.

I always liked them, in fact I came to you Pat for questions when they were in between vocalists or whatever.

Saw their latest album in a today store and bought it. Had never hard them before. Thought they were a doom/sludge band. This is still very good though.

Different singer. The guy in Europe is Aaron from the End. I would kill to see him with BBTS.

Just picked up Burnt By The Sun's 'Heart of Darkness' record today. I don't really know how I feel so far, the vocals are very lackluster but some of the guitar riffage is decent.
Edit: After a few listens I gotta say I like the album, it's definantly a grower and their brand of 'hardcore' vocals take a bit to get used to but I gotta say it's pretty good. I really like the last half the album.

Also: If you haven't noticed the new album is a concept record based of Joseph Conrad's book by the same name you should be ashamed.

Listening for the first time now, not sure what I think.
