Seems like this is gonna move to March 13th and the headliner is so weak that I/m not bummed that if it is moved I can't make it.
I'm not allowed to say who it is yet, but let's just say it's nothing special, and they are not as good or worthy than most of the main stage bands last year.
I wouldn't drive an hour to see this headliner, let alone 14 hours.

There is no way they could top the awesomeness of last year, they couldn't even come close.

I wish I was. Last year's was a great show/vacation for me and the line up was perfect. Unless they can really steer this in another direction, I'm not gonna care, and I don't think many here will either.

I thought I was being a noob thinking that was awesome only cause i have seen them once before then. But looking back, and hearing others who see them a lot more than me say it...that show was insurmountable in asskicking.

Just heard a strong candidate for the number 2 slot, very tempting, but not enough to save this for my taste.

I'm not saying some people won't be stoked to see this band, but if they played last year they would have been on behind Mastodon and Neurosis, and no where near as exciting as High on Fire , Baroness or Kylesa (and man of the inside bands)

last year i had a blast, and i can't imagine that a ~30 band bill would be ruined by a single band on the main stage...hell, it would give me more reason to check out what else is going on.

i hope Electric Wizard gets on the bill.

If Electric Wizard were on the bill they would be headlining. They are not getting Electric Wizard for this. They aren't getting anything close to that even. The choice of headliner this year tells me that they don't have money to work with. Otherwise they'd have a bigger, and likely even better, band. I doubt this band is headlining a 30 band bill, my guess is that it's getting scaled back, probably by a lot.

The most retarded part is you could ask a million people what band they'd want to see for free, and there would probably be one guy out of all of them that would suggest this band.

I've heard Yob and shrinebuilder in totally unofficial mentions. TBDM just did 2 scion shows ,one in ATlanta so not sure if that works. Im sure there will be some announcements soon.
