looks kewl, but nobody can fucking see it
Jotun
I was looking up shit about it last night after seeing a TV spot the night before. Looks genuinely creepy. If it doesn't get a wide release I guess there's always torrents, haha.
bakers man
looks pretty stupid but i want to see it.

I highly doubt it will be as scary as they promise, but definitely creepy. I'd like to see it.
Madden
I CAN SEE THE STRINGZ>DIZ SUXD.
Finch
I will say this about the movie...
The teaser for it is incredibly misleading.

It's just an audience jumping at things.
"Jump" or startle moments are some of the most easy reactions to generate in the horror/suspense genre.
A long suspenseful silence interrupted by a loud noise will cause that kind of reaction in any crowd.

I guess I'm going to need to see the film before I can assess whether it's scary or not.
Just remember; a cleverly executed add campaign can make any shitty movie look awesome.
down_low
i'd like to see it too.
Madden
Films that evoke a sense of dread and despair are always better than films that make you jump. Give me Cheaper By The Dozen 2 any day over Saw 3.

I totally agree.

Like in Hellraiser 2, when Dr. Gennard is in Hell and he's standing there looking at Leviathan and the only words he can muster are, "Oh my god!" To which his female counterpart simply replys, "No.... My god."

That scene always puts chills up my spine.

So I took my lady to see this on Sunday. I gotta say: I enjoyed it. The film did a good job of creating really tense moments (while still using some cheesy jump-scare techniques). It ran on a little in some parts. I think the film makers were trying to convey the growing tension, fatigue and frustration suffered by the characters, but it wasn't conveyed very well.

It definitely had some spine-chilling moments. I'd recomend checking it out if you've got 7.50 to spend and 2 hours to kill.

7.5/10

Sorry if this makes no sense. I've been drinking heavily for an hour. (puts up flame shield from radu)

na, we're ok

seeing tonight. my friend saw it last week and said some people walked out cause they were scared. haha. should be fun.
xWhalexCorex
Saw it the other night and really enjoyed it. At first I was 'meh' but the build-up to the last 20 minutes made it that much better. Not really SCARY but made it a bit difficult to sleep that night.
bakers man
Yeah, i saw it. Wasn't as nearly scary as it seemed made out to be. The last half hour was good but for an hour i was just laughing, it wasnt scary at all. it was just doors opening and closing.

FE-FI-FO-FAIL !!!!!!
Worst "horror" movie since White Noise. Not the least bit scary and boring-as-fuck from beginning to end. The girl had awesome tits tho.
Madden
Shoulda just gone to see fucking Zombieland. Zombie Bill Murray and rollercoaster zombie kills w1n.
itwasme
Just saw it for the second time today! I thoroughly enjoyed it both times. It is a little slow in the beginning, but I find the simplicity of the whole thing to be genuinely creepy. It certainly will have you jumping at every little noise you hear in the night after seeing it. For all the people who didn't enjoy it, I suggest seeing it with easy-to-scare friends. Their reactions to the movie will almost be better than the movie. laugh.gif

So I went to it this afternoon, only one part of it had my heart beating super fast, the rest was just not 'scary' to me at all.

the movie itself though was amazing. i liked the way the tension built realistically, and considering that the film was very low-budget, i'm curious how some of the 'effects' were accomplished.

definitely a good movie, and i can see how it would scare the crap out of most people.

thats true. i didnt think the movie was scary at all but i saw it with three other friends and one of them was scared shitless. so funny.
sweetdeathofi
Just saw it, and it is okay. Reminds me of The Blair Witch Project
Shortyz
Tried to see it today but it was sold out after half of my friends were already in. I would've made it if my gas tank wasn't empty. It was destiny.

It was fate.

I saw saw 6 instead.

It was gay.
Astro Zombie
that movie was fucking terrifying, maybe because I'm watching it around the time everything happened in my bed on my laptop

either way I don't think I'll sleep tonight
zombies & sunshine
The current version that's playing in theaters has a different ending, the original ending is so much better, and apparently there's a third ending where the chick kills buddy and then comes walking up to the camera covered in his blood, holding the big kitchen knife, and slits her own throat and collapses.
Astro Zombie
the ending in theatres is where she goes downstair, Micah goes down and all of a sudden she throws him at the camera, knocks it over and kills him right?
zombies & sunshine
yep. the original ending is fucking sweet. i thought that throwing his body at the camera and then licking/biting/sniffing him after before the cheesy 'ooh demon face rush the camera' was really overly cliched. You should check out the original ending, there's a cam version of the movie on a bunch of sites, i found it on Nordic-t.org, haven't actually seen the third ending yet but it sounds sweet. i won't bother describe the original ending, it's totally worth seeing though, i think it ends the movie perfectly.

original ending torrent. i don't recall if you need to be registered to snag it.

*edit* i want to see what other ways he thought up to end it:
QUOTE
According to an interview with Peli, the original ending was the police ending. The suicide ending on the other hand was a rare alternate ending screened publicly only once. Peli goes on to say that there were many more alternative endings but they never got screened. However, we may see all of these endings on some kind of special edition DVD in the future.
Astro Zombie
Here you can get a DVD rip with the original ending, with a couple seeds of course. That's is where I got my copy of it.
Tw1ster
Saw this last night...wasn't scary while watching it but I swear, trying to fall asleep was a chore...I heard every little sound that the house made and shit bricks everytime.
Colonel Sweeto
Just watched it, built up up some good tension there. And I fucking jumped off the couch when the thing screamed and made that loud thumping noise the first time.
Dillinger

Absolute cack.

1.If these ghosts/demons are so hard why are they afraid of daylight? Blair witch got around this cliche by having bad things happen in broad daylight too, like the straw-men scene.Poltergeist also had things happen in daylight too, remember the Tie Fighter flying rand the bedroom?

2.Dont give a frig what the bird with the nice tits says, they woulda left the house . Blair witch got around this cliche by having them lost in a forest , unable to leave. Poltergeist also did by having the kids leave but the parents stayed because their little girl was trapped there/limbo.

5b. Enough of these so called Reality movies already....zzzz...

5c. Daisy close the curtains , these crayons wont fuckin cook they selves!!!!
Colonel Sweeto
Until last week, I had somehow avoided watching Blair Witch. Now that I've seen it, I want my wasted time back. Sooo bad.
xWhalexCorex
The Blair Witch Project is pretty shitty, like... bottom 10 movies of ALL time bad.
Dillinger

Yeah theres no middle ground with that one, people love it or downright loathe it.

1 of the things that bothered me about P.A was when dude and he was such a Dudemaster Douchey Douche and the furious frat, filmed his bird getting out of bed and staring at him for an hour, he said summat like 'look at you being a total weirdo' , yeah ok...concerned lack of , twat script of shit.
Naked Ahab
1. Blair Witch was great.
2. I just finished Paranormal Activity, with the original ending. I can't remember any other movie scaring the shit out of me like that one. Fuck. I'm not sleeping. I had to turn the lights on to finish it. Fuck.
Rattrameggeagoth
Finally saw it, the original version, it rules, and the girl has some awesome tits indeed.

When she shot up out of bed towards the end I thought they were gunna slip out...in fact...I prayed for them to slip out.
radu123
well that was a donkey's gobshite

however, for about 80% of the movie, i did manage to convince the girl i saw it with that it was real footage seized by the police, and it had subsequently been leaked onto the internet. she was scared some

i also jumped out from behind a door when she came back from her post-movie bathroom break. juvenile, yes, but her frenzied reaction had me in tears
